Prayer of St. Ignatius.


Lord,
teach me to be generous.
Teach me to serve you as you deserve;
to give without counting the cost;
to fight and not to heed the wounds;
to toil and not to seek for rest;
to labor and not to ask for reward,
except to know
that I am doing your will.

Amen.

Who is St. Ignatius?

St. Ignatius of Loyola
is the founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits).
The Jesuits now numbers over 25,000 members in 112 countries.
St. Ignatius was born in Azpeitia, Spain, a year before the discovery of America.
St. Ignatius is probably best known for his book The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius.
